1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us and information generated through your use of the Service.
Information you provide:
- Account information: name, email address, and password when you register.
- Billing information: payment details processed securely through our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers.
- Content you create: proposals, client briefs, and other documents you create or upload within the Service.
- Client information you voluntarily enter into proposals, project briefs, project workflows, and related documents.
- Community contributions:information you voluntarily submit to contribute to Payo's pricing database, benchmarks, research initiatives, or community datasets, including project details, pricing information, survey responses, uploaded documents, and contact information associated with those submissions.
- Communications: messages you send to our support team.
Information collected automatically:
- Usage data: features you use, pages you visit, and actions you take within the Service.
- Device and browser information: IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URLs.
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 9).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
- Process transactions and send related information including purchase confirmations and invoices.
- Send transactional and promotional communications, including product updates, feature announcements, and tips. You may opt out of promotional messages at any time.

- Develop aggregated and de-identified benchmarks, insights, recommendations, pricing data, and related product features.

- Service providers: We share information with third-party vendors who help us operate the Service, including payment processors, cloud hosting providers, email delivery services, analytics tools, and AI processing providers. 4. AI and Content Processing
Payo uses AI-powered features, including Deep Strategy Runs, to analyze proposal content and provide strategic guidance. Content you submit for AI analysis is processed to generate insights and recommendations.
Payo may use aggregated and de-identified platform data to improve product functionality, recommendations, benchmarks, and user experience. Payo will not use personally identifiable information or proposal content in a manner that identifies individual users or clients without consent.
You retain full ownership of your content at all times.
AI-generated outputs may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or outdated information and should be independently reviewed before use. Users remain responsible for all pricing decisions, proposals, client communications, contracts, and business decisions.
5. De-identified Benchmarking and Aggregated Data
Payo may create aggregated and de-identified datasets derived from proposal activity, pricing information, project characteristics, and platform usage. These datasets may be used to improve the Service, generate market insights, develop benchmarking tools, improve recommendations, and create future products and features.
Payo will not disclose personally identifiable information, client names, project names, proposal contents, or other information that reasonably identifies individual users or clients within these datasets.
6. Voluntary Community Contributions
Payo may offer opportunities for users to voluntarily contribute information about past projects, pricing, project characteristics, and related materials for use in benchmarking, research, and product development initiatives (“Community Contributions”). Participation is entirely optional and separate from your use of the core Service.
Community Contributions may include structured project information, survey responses, pricing data, project metadata, and optional document uploads.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the legal right to share any information or materials you submit. Before submitting Community Contributions, you should remove or redact any confidential information, client-identifying information, personal information, trade secrets, information subject to non-disclosure agreements, or other information that you are not authorized to disclose.
Payo does not guarantee that uploaded documents will be reviewed, screened, anonymized, or scrubbed of identifying information before storage or processing. Documents may be retained in the form submitted. You should not upload materials containing information that you do not wish Payo to receive, store, or process.
Payo may use Community Contributions to create aggregated and de-identified datasets, benchmarks, research, insights, recommendations, and related products or services. Payo will not intentionally publish identifying information from uploaded documents as part of public benchmarks or reports.
To administer Community Contributions and respond to deletion requests, Payo may retain contact information associated with submissions, including email addresses. If you wish to remove a contribution, you may contact support@trypayo.com. Payo will make commercially reasonable efforts to delete the contributed materials within a reasonable period, subject to legal obligations, backup retention practices, and technical limitations.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account information and content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. If you close your account, we will delete or de-identify personal data within a reasonable period, subject to legal, security, operational, backup, and recordkeeping requirements.
We may retain aggregated or de-identified data that does not reasonably identify you, your clients, or other individuals.
8. Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encryption in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve the Service. Cookies help us keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how you use the Service.

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.
